NOTE:  Please excuse our dust as we are in the process of remodeling the clubhouse as well as our website.  If club members have information or photos for the site send it to the Webmaster.

History:

Founded in 1983, as a formal club which required all members to own and ride British made motorcycles.  The club has had many members, and have had only one National President, Buddha.  During all these years, we have had members come and go.  In the late 1980's, with the formation of the Arizona Confederation of Clubs, the Limey Riders MC became one of the Charter Members of this organization.  In the mid 1990's, the club recognized that British bikes were becoming harder to get and more expensive.  At that time they made the decision to open the membership up to riders of any motorcycle.  Now our club still has the British bikes, but we also have the Japanesse bikes, Honda's, Suzuiki's, Kawasaki's, and even Harley's.

We have been a small club in numbers here in Arizona, but we do have members and chapters in other states including Wisconsin, Texas, Louisana, Mississippi to name a few.

We have lost one brother in a motorcycle accident, Brother Frog, is always missed and honored at all of our club events.

As we approach our 25th Anniversary we have been going through some changes, with a new Chapter President, Rainman, a member for many years. recently moved back to the valley, after living in Prescott for the last few years.

Skypilot, one of the founding members has been appointed as a Registered Lobbyist for the Arizona Confederation of Clubs (ACMC).  This important position is to help present the bikers point of view to the State Legislature.

Our membership is enhanced by the Ladies of the Limey Riders, the women's auxillary group, has re-grouped and is extremely active in club events.  We are looking at possibly forming a group for the teenagers in the families of members, so that they can assist the chapter and the ladies with tasks and club events.  These are the future members of our club.

Our membership runs the gamut of ages:  from the 18 year old probate to the 86 year old, Pops.  This gentleman has been riding for 74 years.  Most of us only hope to be riding anywhere near that.  He still rides his 2003 Royal Enfield and tells us lots of stories about the old days.  Those stories include him being issued a motorcycle by the US Army.  About his days as a racer both in autos and on bikes.  Hill Climbs, being at the first Hollister Ralley, and at the 2nd Sturgis Ralley.

Riding with him is a learning experience everytime.  He always teaches us something on our road trips.  And the girls, always flock to him to give him a hug, even the Vice President of our Ladies of the Limey Riders.
